How did you get your start in music?
Hobie & Joe:
Hobie started playing piano in church at about age 12; Joe started in 5th grade band.
ModCC:
What's the best part of being famous?
Hobie & Joe:
Getting free tennis shoes works great for us!!!
ModCC:
Will you be at Fan Fair?
Hobie & Joe:
Absolutely---Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
ModCC:
Is Hobie a nickname?
Hobie & Joe:
Yes, my real name is Greg.
Hobie:
That would be Gregg.
ModCC:
Hey guys, what's touring like?
Hobie & Joe:
It's great; we meet great people all over the world.
ModCC:
Do you still travel by bus, or do you have an airplane?
Hobie & Joe:
Both, about 3/4 of the time on bus and the rest of the time by air.
ModCC:
What do you enjoy doing when you aren't performing?
Hobie & Joe:
Hobie likes going to the movies and concerts, working in the yard. Joe enjoys reading and biking, canoeing and historical research.
ModCC:
are you on the internet at home? how about a computer on your bus?
Hobie & Joe:
No computer on the bus, but we have Internet access at home. We will accept free lap tops for our bus.
ModCC:
This is for Sawyer Brown -- Could you tell us a little about the "number 18 song" on your new album?

This is a long story, and we are starting to type it in.

Hobie & Joe:
It was written about our friend Brook Berrenger, who was the quarterback for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and was killed in an airplane crash last year. #18 was his football jersey.
ModCC:
Do you get nervous performing in front of large audiences?
Hobie & Joe:
Joe gets nervous playing in front of small audiences; Hobie says he gets nervous playing in the living room for his aunts and uncles!
ModCC:
Are all the original members still with you?
Hobie & Joe:
All but one.
ModCC:
What's the secret to keeping a group together so long?
Hobie & Joe:
Respect and a great sense of humor, being great friends!
ModCC:
How do you feel about award shows?
countrycom:
RESPECT
Hobie & Joe:
They're great, but you still have to go to work the next day!!!
ModCC:
Are you singing tonight?
Hobie & Joe:
Yes; we're singing "6 Days on the Road". Stay tuned in!
ModCC:
Who picks your material? Do you ever argue over it?
Hobie & Joe:
We do, no we don't argue over it (generally) but we're not above arm wrestling.
ModCC:
Do you vacation together too?
Hobie & Joe:
No, no, no, we do have families of our own.
ModCC:
What's the "fun" part of doing videos?
Hobie & Joe:
When they say, "That's a wrap!"
ModCC:
Do you guys ever play Vegas?
Hobie & Joe:
Yes, we've played MGM Grand, the Sahara.

How will you celebrate if you win?
Hobie & Joe:
Probably a drive-thru at Krystal's.
ModCC:
What's the secret to finding a hit song?
Hobie & Joe:
We wish there was a secret!!!
ModCC:
Do any of you like to cook?
Hobie & Joe:
Joe loves to cook; Hobie loves the drive-thru at Krystal.

Do you decide what artists tour with you?
Hobie & Joe:
Yea, in conjunction with managers and booking agents.
ModCC:
To what do you credit your success?
Hobie & Joe:
Lots of hard work, and great fans!!!

Do you ever hear from your friends before you made it?
Hobie & Joe:
Sure, we stay in touch with as many of our friends as we can, from way back.
ModCC:
Is there a story behind, "This Night Won't Last Forever" your new single?
Hobie & Joe:
It's a remake of a song we always liked.
ModCC:
Do you enjoy seeing your face on TV and in magazines?
