A Record Year For Fan Fair '92

Fan Fair '92 was a tremendous success for Nashville, country music and Sawyer Brown. Tickets for the annual event were as scarce as a hen's tooth. The 24,000 alloment had been sold out for several months prior. The week was filled with many fan club breakfasts, celebrity sporting events, concerts, and a whole lot of fun for all who attended. The big event on Monday

(after the Sawyer Brown Fan Club breakfast, of course) was the TNN / Music City News Awards. Even though Sawyer Brown didn't win Group of the Year, they did win the praise of those in attendance as well as those watching at home. The boys do want to thank all the fans and friends who voted for them and for your support through the years. 1992 will be Sawyer Brown's biggest and best ever.

Tuesday was the official opening of Fan Fair. Sawyer Brown appeared at the CMT booth for an autograph session. Then they greeted fans at their booth for pictures and autographs. Those who attended got a sneak preview of the new single and video "Cafe On The Corner".

The highlight on Wednesday was Sawyer Brown's performance at the Liberty Records' show. That show also feature Garth Brooks, Tanya Tucker, and other Liberty acts. Sawyer Brown was critically acclaimed as having stole the show. A local DJ described it to his radio audience as one of themost electrifying performances he had ever witnessed. But then, when have any of you not seen a SB concert that wasn't electrifying? At the conclusion of the show, it was more pictures and autographs at the booth. "Entertainment Tonight" showed up to film an interview of The Guys and to catch the frenzy of the fans there to meet them.

The Sawyer Brown Boys headed back out on tour Wednesday, but the Fan Fair booth remained busy the remainder of the week with new fans wanting to learn more about the band and longtime fans stopping by to say "hello" or to catch the new video. We'll see all of you again next year at Fan Fair '93.
